Tigers Community Credit Union Raises Awareness and Funds for Truman’s Closet

Columbia, Mo – On April 13, Tigers Community Credit Union, located in Columbia, Mo, hosted a Mizzou campus event  in partnership with Truman’s Closet, a student run organization that offers Mizzou and MU Health Care students, staff and faculty a resource to borrow professional and business attire to be used for interviews, presentations, career fairs or in the workplace without having to worry about the cost of professional clothing.  This access can open the doors for many professional opportunities.

The event was targeted around bringing awareness to campus through social media efforts. “It was fun watching our Instagram followings increase during the day, knowing this was spreading awareness of this great organization,” said Stephanie Tyler, Community and Business Development Representative. In addition to the social media blitz, Tigers Community Credit Union donated $500 to the program.

“Thank you to Tigers Community Credit Union for continually supporting resources such as Truman’s Closet at Mizzou,” said Sophia Teddy, Truman’s Closet Coordinator. “Because of the generosity of our community, we can continue providing, improving, and bringing awareness to this resource.” Truman’s Closet is run by Tiger Pantry and is located in the Hitt Street Parking Structure at 299 Hitt Street, Columbia, MO  65211.
