Tigers Community Credit Union Partners with Sustain Mizzou

Columbia, Mo – Tigers Community Credit Union hosted a campus event to raise awareness for Sustain Mizzou, a student-run environmental program that provides education and opportunities to make a difference on campus and in the Columbia community. The program educates students and faculty to better understand how social, economic, and environmental sustainability can make a change in their community.

During the event, held on Thursday, April 18, students, and faculty were invited to socially share what they are doing to be sustainable for a chance to win a basket full of sustainable items, valued at $250, presented on Earth Day. The credit union also provided Sustain Mizzou with a $500 donation to assist with program needs.

“There was a tremendous response on what individuals are doing or can do to be sustainable,” said Stephanie Tyler, Community and Business Development Representative. “Their actions are inspiring and valuable.” The complete list of sustainable efforts can be found on Instagram @TIGERSCU.

“We are so grateful for community partners, such as Tiger Community Credit Union, who help to support our sustainability initiative and programs at the University of Missouri”, says Bella Kamplain, Student Director – Sustain Mizzou. “Sustain Mizzou celebrated Earth Month this April and we were so happy to see the community celebrating and supporting us in our various sustainability programming.”
