Columbia, MO – Tigers Community Credit Union is proud to announce Sophia Wormington, a senior at Jefferson City High School, as the recipient of its 2026 Scholarship. Sophia will begin her studies at Loyola University Chicago this Fall, pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology – Genetics.
“We are honored to support students like Sophia who demonstrate strong academic achievement, leadership, and a passion for making a difference,” said Lori Hudson, Community Engagement Manager at Tigers Community Credit Union. “Her dedication and future goals truly set her apart, and we are excited to see all she will accomplish.”
Scholarship recipients are selected through a process that evaluates academic excellence, financial need, extracurricular involvement, and an essay. A letter of recommendation further highlights their character and contributions to their community.
Tigers Community Credit Union remains committed to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education. Applications for the 2027 scholarship program will be available in January.
