Columbia, Mo – Tigers Community Credit Union, located in Columbia, Mo, hosted a Mizzou campus event to raise awareness for the Tiger Pantry, a student run organization that provides food resources and education to members of the University of Missouri family and University of Missouri Healthcare workers in need.
During a two-day event Tigers Community Credit Union employees and student volunteers distributed non-perishable food items to students at the Mizzou Market and Student Center. The students were requested to share #CUfeedMU on social media to spread awareness of the Tiger Pantry and their programs. “There was a tremendous response from the students and we are so thankful to be a part of spreading awareness of this great organization,” said Stephanie Tyler, Business Development Representative. In addition to the social media blitz, Tigers Community Credit Union presented a check for $500 to the pantry.
“Tiger Pantry relies heavily on donations, so we are always very appreciative when community businesses such as Tigers Community Credit Union are able to donate and raise awareness about food insecurity,” said Brylee S. Duncan, Tiger Pantry Director.
Tiger Pantry distributes anywhere from 3500 lbs. to 5000 lbs. of food a month. For more information or to find out how you can help, visit Tiger Pantry.
