Columbia, Mo –Tigers Community Credit Union recently teamed up with STRIPES (Supportive Tigers Riding In Pursuit of Ensuring Safety), a student run organization that provides free, safe and confidential rides home within the city of Columbia for any MU student and their guests, to host a Mizzou campus event raising awareness for the non-profit.
During the event Tigers Community Credit Union employees and student volunteers distributed safety whistles to students at the Mizzou Market and Student Center to promote the importance of safety on and around campus.
In addition to the event, Tigers Community Credit Union presented STRIPES with a $500 check to be used to prepare for safe rides home to resume in the spring 2022 semester.
Since its first ride in 2001, STRIPES has completed over 200,000 safe rides home. For more information about STRIPES or how to volunteer, visit STRIPES.
