Tigers Community Credit Union is partnering with Welcome Home, Inc in their mission to support the needs of our local homeless veterans and improve their overall quality of life. We’ll be hosting a donation drive through September 7 and will have collection bin sites at each of our branches.
Welcome Home, Inc. is a non-profit community-based organization that enables homeless Veterans to return to society as productive self-supporting citizens. This program facilitates recovery through social responsibility, personal engagement and individualized programming based upon the needs and desires of the Veteran.
The items most often requested are:
Bedding – new pillows, twin bed linens, blankets
Household items – silverware, plates, cups, bowls, etc.
Towels/wash cloths
Personal hygiene products – Full size shampoo/conditioner, body wash/bar of soap, deodorant, toothpaste, mouthwash, toothbrushes, multi-blade razors, etc.
Canned/dried goods non-perishable
Household cleaning supplies – Laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap, Lysol, etc.
Reduced fare bus passes
Bicycles
